Ram Bahadur Rai interview with Sopan Joshi

Seasoned journalist Ram Bahadur Rai was a student leader at the Banaras Hindu University in the years preceding the Emergency, and active with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. He was jailed in Varanasi for his involvement in the protests. Since the Emergency, he has worked as a reporter and editor in a series of well-known publications and wire services. He currently edits a Hindi fortnightly called Yathawat. He is the chairperson of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts in New Delhi.
