Satish Jha Banwari interview with Sopan Joshi
Banwari was a prominent socialist commentator and activist in the early 1970s, when he was teaching Philosophy and Economics in the Delhi University. He is best known for his writing and editing in the magazine Dinmaan and the daily Jansatta, of which he was the resident editor in Delhi He was associated with the Gandhian leader Jayaprakash Narayana. In the 1980s, he turned his attention to social studies with an indigenous emphasis.

Shravan Garg interview with Sopan Joshi
In the early 1970s, Shravan Garg was part of a small group of journalists who were close associates of Gandhian leader Jaiprakash Narayan. He worked for several Gandhian publications, was part of the team that was involved in the surrender of a group of dacoits in the Chambal valley, and also reported on it. He worked for several publications during and after the Emergency. For several years, he was the chief editor of Dainik Bhaskar, one of the largest circulated daily newspapers in the world. He is a commentator and editorial advisor now, and lives in Indore, MP.

Qurban Ali interview with Sopan Joshi
Qurban Ali is a seasoned journalist and was, till 2017, with Rajya Sabha TV in an editorial role. A student activist who became a journalist in the aftermath of the Emergency, Ali wrote for the magazines Ravivar and Sunday Observer, joining the BBC World Service in 1994, reporting from UP for about a decade.
